We invite all stakeholders in the Western Mediterranean Blue Economy to apply for the WestMED Project Awards 2023.

This international project competition aims to showcase and honour outstanding success stories, which provide innovative and replicable solutions embodying the WestMED initiative’s vision for the western Mediterranean.

The WestMED Steering Committee, with support from the WestMED Assistance Mechanism, is organising this 2023 edition of the WestMED Project Awards.

The winners will be announced during the WestMED Stakeholders Conference on 22 June 2023 in Malta. Find out more about the 2023 Conference.

Four categories will be featured in this year’s WestMED Project Awards, based on the western Mediterranean Roadmap priorities:

• Sustainable Consumption and Production
• Sustainable fisheries, Aqauculture and Costal Community Development
• Biodiversity, Marine Habitat Conservation and response to marine pollution
• Development and Circulation of Skills and Knowledge
