EP BrainHealth is seeking committed and experienced individuals to join its Patient Advisory Board (PAB) and help shape the future of brain health research and innovation in Europe.
❓About the Patient Advisory Board
The Patient Advisory Board is an independent advisory body that brings together patient representatives from across the spectrum of brain-related disorders. Its mission is to ensure that the perspectives, needs and experiences of patients and carers are reflected in the activities of EP BrainHealth, including the identification of research priorities and the development of future funding opportunities.
Members of the PAB play a vital role in advising the EP BrainHealth Consortium on matters affecting patients and carers and in promoting meaningful patient involvement in research and innovation.
🎯Who Can Apply?
We invite applications from individuals who:
- Have lived experience as a patient or carer in the field of brain-related disorders;
- Are affiliated with a recognised patient group, organisation, or association;
- Demonstrate independence, integrity, and a commitment to representing patient perspectives;
- Are interested in contributing to research and policy discussions at the European level.
🗒️What Does the Role Involve?
PAB members serve as advisors to the EP BrainHealth Consortium and contribute their expertise and experience through:
- Providing advice on strategic research and innovation priorities;
- Contributing patient and carer perspectives to foresight activities and future research topics;
- Recommending approaches to engage patients and other relevant stakeholders;
- Supporting the development and updating of strategic research agendas.
Members are expected to participate in meetings and discussions throughout their term, including attendance at the annual General Assembly and other relevant events. Meetings may be held in person or virtually.
Practical Information
💰Membership of the PAB is a voluntary service. However, expenses related to attendance at up to two meetings per year, including travel and accommodation costs, will be covered by EP BrainHealth.
