The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and other founding institutions, has launched the 2026 CAS-ANSO Scholarship Program. Established in 2019 (originally as the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents), this program aims to develop and empower the next generation of scientists.
The Program offers postgraduate study opportunities at institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Annually, the program supports 300 doctoral students and 100-200 master’s students. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum, including Chinese language and cultural studies, coursework, research projects, and thesis development at their host institutions.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants for the master’s program must be born on or after January 1, 1996, and for the PhD program, on or after January 1, 1991. All candidates must satisfy the entry requirements for international students at either USTC or UCAS. Students already enrolled in master’s or PhD programs in China are ineligible.
The application window for the 2026 academic year is currently open, with submissions due by 31st January 2026 (Beijing Time).
