The M-ERA.NET Joint Call 2026 offers eligible applicants the chance to:
Participate in transnational projects by leveraging funding and support to develop pioneering solutions in advanced materials and battery technologies.
🧠Address six thematic areas:
Materials for energy storage and distribution systems
Materials for energy conversion
Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
Innovative functional materials with defined architectures
Materials addressing environmental challenges
Next generation materials for electronics
📅Key Dates & Application Process
↩️Applicants must:
Comply with the National Rules for Participation;
Be a Malta-based entity, including private and public entities, RKDOs, etc with an operating base in Malta in accordance with State Aid or Non-State Aid National rules; Complete and submit a National Application Form, duly signed and supported by the required Annexes.

Project coordinator needs to submit the pre-proposal via the M-ERA.NET Electronic Submission Tool by 12 May 2026, 12:00 CET.
Each Malta-based applicant must submit a signed National Application Form to eusubmissions.xjenzamalta@gov.mt by 12 May 2026, 23:59 CET.
